Julie’s journey from a small French-speaking town in southern Belgium to an accomplished filmmaker and educator is a testament to her passion for storytelling. After earning a Master’s degree in Journalism from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), she transitioned to filmmaking, studying at The New School for Public Engagement in New York City.
Her personal work has garnered attention at various prestigious film festivals, including Cinequest, The Big Apple Film Festival, and The Prague International Film Festival, among others. Julie's directorial and producing efforts have earned her multiple accolades, including Best Picture at the Los Angeles Film Awards.
in 2024, Julie was also a producer and one of the directors for the collaborative feature film "Everything That Will Happen Has Already Happened", a groundbreaking project that was selected for the prestigious Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia, further showcasing her diverse talents and international recognition.
Beyond her own creative projects, Julie has contributed her expertise as an associate producer on notable productions such as The Drummer starring Danny Glover and the Emmy-winning show After Forever. She has also lent her editing skills to high-profile companies like Sony, Google, and Vice Media, showcasing her technical prowess across different aspects of the film and media industry.
As an adjunct professor at the New York Film Academy, Julie is passionate about mentoring the next generation of filmmakers, sharing her experience and insights with up-and-coming creatives. She currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
